The Thursday morning Bible Study will read and discuss Tim Perry's book of meditations, Blessed Is She: Living Lent with Mary. Drawing primarily from the Gospel of Luke, Perry's spiritual reflections reveal a Lenten Mary who teaches us the meaning of discipleship.

The Way of the Cross is a simple and moving Lenten remembrance of Jesus's journey to the cross. This observance was brought home by pilgrims to Jerusalem who had retraced Jesus's steps and found it extremely meaningful.

Based on the book by C. S. Lewis, the film is fun for all ages. It is a timeless fantasy, with creatures human and fanciful, not at all preachy, and true to the vision of the book. Andrew Adamson, who also directed the Shrek movies, stays away from a religious agenda and brings out the best from the young actors. Come and see Narnia, whether or not you've read the book.
The topics of discussion at this year's Lenten Dinners will be centered on the film. Be sure to see The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Popcorn and soft drinks will be provided. Everyone is invited!

It doesn't seem possible that it has been so many years since the last photo directory was published!
How often have you read a name in The Lion's Tale or heard it in conversation and thought "That name sounds familiar", but have not been able to connect the name with a face? Or how often have you met a fellow parishioner at the library, post office, or grocery store and realized that you didn't know the person's name?
Now you can solve both problems by participating in the 2008 Church Photo Directory. Just make an appointment to have your picture taken, spend a few minutes with the photographer, and receive a free 8 x 10 portrait and a free copy of the Church Photo Directory when it is published.
With modern technology, you will be able to see video "proofs" of your portraits immediately. If you want to purchase a portrait, there will be specially-priced packages available, but there will not be any pressure to make a purchase.
Remember, you're a part of the St. Mark's family, and we need your picture in the family album!
