Most events are held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 15 Pearl Street, Mystic, CT 06355. Events held at other locations are emphasized by this font. Holy days and most secular holidays are noted this way. 5 Pentecost, for example, means the 5th Sunday after Pentecost.

Daily or weekly events, such as Morning Prayer, the Holy Eucharist at StoneRidge, are described in detail on the Description & Schedule Page, along with some monthly events such as the Healing Service.

Please join us on the lawn after the 8 or 10 AM Sunday service for lemonade and cookies. The informal atmosphere makes it easier to chat and make new friends.

Summer Choir returned on Sunday the 20th of June. Summer Choir is your chance to try singing in the choir without making a commitment. Just show up and sing!

July Special Events

Lemonade on the Lawn returned on Sunday, May 30

From Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend, instead of gathering after each Sunday service for Coffee Hour in the Undercroft, we gather for lemonade on the lawn in front of the church. The Adult Forum, usually held between the 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM services, takes a summer vacation. The combination of warm weather, informality, and open space often means that we get to know one another better.

Don't like lemonade? There's always an alternative: Fruit juice, punch, or bottled water. There are cookies, brownies, et cetera, too.

As with Coffee Hour, volunteer hosts are always needed. It is a fine way to meet your fellow parishioners! There is a signup sheet in the Undercroft.

"The Diocese [of Connecticut] is divided into 14 geographic units called deaneries, each with an elected dean, sub-dean, secretary and treasurer. These were established decades ago as a way to improve communication and encourage collaborative ministry, and replaced an older model of archdeaconries."

"The diocesan bishop views the deanery system as a helpful way to gather clergy and parishes regionally. Confirmations are held on a deanery basis, and bishops meet with each deanery's clergy on a regular basis. Elected lay delegates to convention serve as delegates to their deanery as well."

The two paragraphs quoted above are from the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut Web Site (external Site). The Seabury Deanery Site (WWW.SeaburyDeanery.Org) has much more information which is specific to the Seabury Deanery.
