Thanks to the generosity of the people who supported "Capital Campaign: Refurbishment Campaign II", the Parish kitchen is being renovated.

As part of St. Mark's major Parish kitchen renovation, Yankee Remodeler (WWW.YankeeRemodeler.Com) has begun work. The massive upgrade will include a gas range (replacing the finicky, inefficient electric stove), an energy-efficient refrigerator, new counter tops, refitted drawers and cabinets, and a fresh coat of paint. It is hoped that the work will be completed by early March, 2012.

On February 23, 2012 we had a handle on the hand washing sink, the water heater was plumbed, and the new sink and dishwasher were in place.

Most important was the new fire extinguishing system for the gas stove and exhaust hood.

Fire equipment ready to go (may we never need it!).

On February 19, 2012 we saw the new hand washing sink (required by health regulations), the wonderful new drawers that slide open and closed easily on their glides (they'll get new faces), and the sink, stove, and fridge almost ready.

Outside there was a big surprise. It just wasn't easily visible. Can you see it?

On February 4, 2012 the new sink, water heater, dishwasher, stove, and refrigerator were seen waiting patiently to be hooked up. New plumbing was ready and waiting.

February 1, 2012 found the old electric stove disconnected, the old sink and dishwasher removed, and the new exhaust hood being installed.

The Church Kitchen Renovation began , when dishes, silverware, and other items were removed.

Thank you to everyone who helped empty the cabinets and drawers and safely store the contents!
