The Altar Guild

Taking their lead from Isaiah 6:8, "Here am I; send me!", members of the Altar Guild prepare all Church worship services, press the linens, and polish the brass. The Altar Guild also supplies candles, wine, hosts (Communion bread), flowers, vestments, and linens with income from weekly offerings and special gifts at Christmas and Easter. A major undertaking over the past few years has been replating the beautiful collection of brass.

The Altar Guild is an essential arm of St. Mark's and always welcomes new members.

The Crafters

A small group of people meet weekly (usually on Tuesday) in the Church Undercroft to create crafts to be sold at the Christmas Bazaar in November. Crafts include Christmas ornaments, jewelry, knitted pot holders, specially-dressed toy bears, anything! Workers share their ideas, pool their resources, and then create assorted crafts.

There's always lots of talk and lots of fun. Anyone who is interested in crafts is welcome to join us!

The Quilters

A group of six to eight people gathers in the Church Undercroft on Tuesday mornings. The group includes parishioners and anyone interested in quilting (or learning to quilt). Participants make quilts, baby quilts, runners, wall hangings, and pillows and even knit towel tops, all of which are sold at the Christmas Bazaar.

There's always lots of fun and talk. Many people bring a bag lunch. The Quilters would be happy to teach anyone who would like to join them!
