We looked at responses to grief from Scripture and from Brahms's beautiful music as each helps interpret the other, revealing the strong message of hope and revealing the seeds of joy in the tears of grief. Even though the 2008 Lenten study is over, many of us continue to return to Brahms's music and the readings to find new meaning in them.
