- Our search for a Rector
Sunday services are held at 8:00 and 10:00 AM.
There will be two Christmas Eve services, a family service at 4:30 PM and a 11:00 PM Festal Midnight Eucharist.
Visitors, including children, are always welcome in worship at St. Mark's!
All baptized persons are invited to join us in the Sacrament of Christ's Body and Blood.
Our search is complete! The Vestry has selected a candidate to be our next Rector!
The Vestry has called a new Rector, who responded with joy and enthusiasm about joining St. Mark's. If all goes well, she or he will be joining us during the first part of February, 2014!
Once our Letter of Agreement is approved by the Bishop, the name of our new Rector will be announced. The Wardens and Vestry are expecting to spend several weeks completing the necessary documents and have begun working out the final details. Please congratulate the Vestry and Search Committee for a job well done!
Please keep the candidate and St. Mark's Episcopal Church in your prayers.
The Officers and Vestry, and especially the friendly people in the pews, all welcome you to St. Mark's Episcopal Church in the town of Groton, village of Mystic.
Whether you live in the Groton, Connecticut region, are visiting the Mystic area, have moved to Southeastern Connecticut, or are looking for a church home, please join us at St. Mark's Episcopal Church for Sunday worship and other activities! The current calendar lists events happening this month.
December brings Advent and Christmas. Please celebrate with us!
There is a new About St. Mark's Church Page.
You can watch a video made by the children of St. Mark's and see other information about the Parish.
Please join us on the Groton side of the Mystic River and enjoy a warm, friendly welcome!
St. Mark's Episcopal Church is located in historic downtown Mystic, Connecticut. Located on the banks of the Mystic River, between Groton and Stonington, Mystic was originally a major shipbuilding center. St. Mark's is minutes from world-class attractions for the whole family, such as Mystic Seaport Museum. Mystic Seaport will transport you back to another era, when wooden ships with canvas sails provided the only means of transporting goods over the oceans. Less than six minutes away, Mystic Aquarium is much more than just tanks of fish. At Mystic Aquarium you will see Beluga whales, Stellar sea lions, and North African penguins. As a centerpiece of southeastern Connecticut, downtown Mystic is known for its unique shops, restaurants, and art galleries. Everywhere you turn you will see the kind of scenic beauty that takes your breath away.
